One more question... I forgot, is the TOR RP taking place during or after the events of the first KOTOR? Have the Jedi been nearly purged yet?

The Jedi haven't been purged. It's after the first KotOR-ish IIRC.
You can blow stuff up anytime as soon as you're added to the Republic group.

And do remember, (I believe) we are in a semi-alternate universe, so you don't have to worry about following the exact plot of TOR. The Jedi don't have to get purged or anything like that. (Although they probably will with me being a Sith)
